Exciting News... An Addition To Our Museum

The year 2021 will be very exciting for the Unionville Museum.  After more than a Century, the Museum’s building at 15 School Street will be getting a much needed addition that will include a new handicapped accessible bathroom, galley kitchen and storage area. This will allow us to better serve museum guests, and host more comfortable and unique gatherings for all ages. We are also seeking to purchase a quality sound system, podium, and audio-visual equipment needed to modernize our exhibition, research, and special event capabilities to improve the visitor experience and position ourselves for the future.

Members of the Board of Directors have been working on this long-anticipated project with Town of Farmington administrators, local architects, and the State Historic Preservation Officer. We plan to begin construction this summer and complete the addition by fall.

To help make this a reality we need your help! We are conducting our first capital campaign to help raise $30,000 which will be matched by the Town of Farmington and a CT State grant.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to help fund construction of the addition.  We would greatly appreciate your support. Click here for more info and to make an online donation.

Shopping for Mother's or Father's Day?

Looking for that perfect gift for someone with ties to Unionville?

Our Museum store has several items that would be sure to please.  Like this multi-colored, custom designed afghan featuring 12 of Unionville's iconic buildings.  Or this print of a 1878 birds eye view map of Unionville. There are also books on Unionville and copies of our 2021 calendar are still available.

Buying through our store supports the Museum in our efforts to collect and preserve artifacts that help us tell the story of Unionville's unique history.
