Unionville Transformed - September 20th to December 20th

Few events in Unionville's history have had a greater impact on the appearance and character of the Unionville center we know today.    

This exhibit will focus on the Tunxis Center Urban Renewal Project, more commonly known as redevelopment. It transformed more than 30 acres of downtown Unionville during the late 1960s and early 1970s.  ​Few events in Unionville's history have had a greater impact on the appearance and character of the Unionville center we know today.  The exhibit will feature photographs of Unionville before redevelopment started contrasted with photographs of Unionville today. It will also explain the impetus behind redevelopment, its supporters and those who opposed it and what it took to carry it out.
