Unionville Museum “History to Go” Roadshows
Presentations bringing history, artifacts, and folklore to you

The Unionville Museum’s History to Go Roadshows deliver fun, lively, artifact‑filled presentations on local history, led by our knowledgeable local historians. Each 45‑minute program blends engaging storytelling, rare objects, and an interactive Q&A session to explore the rich history and folklore of Unionville and the Farmington Valley—from landmark buildings and notable characters to pop‑culture moments and community traditions.

Every program includes a live PowerPoint presentation accompanied by a curated display of historic items related to the topic, all brought directly to your location. We request a $250 tax‑deductible donation to support the Museum’s mission.

Perfect for libraries, clubs, nonprofits, historical societies, and retirement communities, these on‑the‑road programs make history come alive with entertaining anecdotes and surprising trivia. Enjoy an hour of learning and laughter while supporting your local museum as we bring our stories to you. Current presentations:

  • Myrtle Mills: The Origin of the Unionville Factory Store
  • Last Call: Bars, Taverns, and Spirits of the Farmington Valley
  • Loss & Resilience: Commemorating the Flood of 1955
  • Shaken, Not Stirred: The Golden Age of the Cocktail
  • Unionville’s Story of Irish Immigration
  • One Shining Nose: The Origin Story of Rudolph the Red‑Nosed Reindeer

If you have a topic in mind, we can also create custom presentations on Unionville, the Farmington Valley, or broader American history, landmarks, and pop culture.
For more information or to book a presentation, contact Tim LeBouthillier at 860‑559‑8532.
