"100 Years of Scouting"
Boy Scout Troop 170 will host this
very special centennial exhibit at the
Unionville Museum.
Opening Sunday, June 20, 2010
Enjoy celebrating 100 years of Boy Scouting in America and collections of memorabilia from area Boy Scout troops, alumni, family members and collectors from around the state.
Memorabilia includes: rare collectible patches and commemorative plates Honoring the Founder of the Scouting program in England in 1907. An autographed photo of Baden-Powell. Boy Scout Hand Books and Boys Life magazines from the early 1900s. A bound early edition of the History of Boy Scouts in America. Early writings of Ernest Seaton Thompson. Uniforms and merit badge books, magazines, novelty items, photos and selected articles from area troops and collectors. And so much more!
This exhibit will run into the fall. Remember we are open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 - 4.
